Peter Van Velzen
Chair
Peter Van Velzen is Chair of the Board of Directors. Peter has resided in York Region his entire life. Over the years he has participated in and held a number of positions in a variety of non-profit organizations. He has always had a strong sense of obligation and devotion to these organizations. His experience as a small business owner for the past 22 years has provided him with the tools and experience necessary to aid in his volunteer roles.
William McMullen
Treasurer
William (Bill) McMullen is a Senior Partner of Norton McMullen LLP, a firm of chartered professional accountants in Markham, Ontario. He has extensive experience in accounting, taxation, and unique issues related to nonprofit organizations.
Winston Miller
Secretary
Winston Miller is a retired director of cbm Canada (Christian Blind Mission). He has extensive management experience, having served at senior management levels in both Ontario provincial and municipal public services.
CY Yan
Director
CY Yan is a pastor and currently serves as OMF's Director for Connections East Asia. He gives oversight to all matters relating to OMF mobilization, events, conferences and activities with the church community in Ontario. He brings strong spiritual leadership to the board.
Peter Friberg
Director
Peter Friberg is a retired school principal and a former special education consultant. He has been a volunteer narrator at the Talking Book Library since 1995.
Raymond Chiu
Director
Raymond B. Chiu is an assistant professor in the Goodman School of Business at Brock University. He has been involved in the creation of social enterprises, the leadership of a community development organization, direct marketing for a foundation, and a senior research role at World Vision Canada.
