Karen's Story

“TBL books allowed me to journey outside my small dark and painful world into the world of the book. They provided teaching, challenge, encouragement and entertainment and quite frankly were a sanity saver.

As I listened to books, I thanked God often for these dedicated volunteers who so freely gave of their time and abilities for the benefit of people like me that they did not know and probably would never meet.

TBL volunteers are extraordinary people with a vision and passion to help those in need with no tangible reward. I also thanked God for all the staff and other volunteers of the Talking Book Library who provided this service with caring professionalism.”
